UB Board CommitteesAlumni Executive Committee
Chair - Marc A. Adler, M.A. '83, M.B.A. '82 & B.A. ‘79 The Executive Committee is the active working body of the UB Alumni Association responsible for the implementation of strategies on behalf of the board of directors. Members of the Executive Committee are from the alumni association board. Participation on this committee is limited to elected officers, chairs and seven directors appointed by the president. Chair - Marc A. Adler, M.A. '83, M.B.A. '82 & B.A. ‘79 This committee provides input and alumni support for the events and activities sponsored by the UB Alumni Association, including young alumni programs, senior alumni programs, class reunions, special interest reunions, alumni education programs, and awards programs. Chapters
Chair - Kimberly J. Pustulka, B.S. '97 and Edward F. Ryczek, B.S. '71 The Chapters Committee further enhances the outreach efforts of the UB Alumni Association and helps the University at Buffalo realize its goal of becoming a truly national institution. The committee assists in the development of a viable and vibrant alumni chapter system with the goal of each chapter being "program driven." Additionally, the Committee shall develop a systematic way for alumni that leave the WNY area to remain involved and engaged with the University. Communication/Marketing
Chair - Helene A. Blieberg, B.A. '77 The Communication/Marketing Committee provides guidance, analysis and feedback on all external communication efforts of the UB Alumni Association, helping the alumni staff to effectively and efficiently communicate with alumni in a regular and predictable manner. Chair - James F. Wendel, B.S. '75 This committee advises and reports to the UB Alumni Association on its annual budget; devises and helps to execute plans for supplementing alumni association income through such means as corporate sponsorships, underwriting, fundraising projects and philanthropy. Chair - Lawrence J. Zielinski, M.B.A.'77 & B.A.'75 The Development Committee works to strengthen the UB Alumni Association, focusing specifically on revenue-generating programs, volunteer recruitment/development and relationships with school-based alumni programs. The committee provides leadership and vision for ongoing strategic planning, providing the foundation upon which to build and enhance the UB Alumni Association and all of its programs, activities and events. Chair - Rita M. Andolina, MSW '88, BA '80, BA '80 Our future alumni are on campus today. The goal of the Partnerships Committee is to promote a sense of community among current students and UB alumni, ensuring a positive experience while at UB and preparing undergraduates for their lives as engaged UB alumni. The committee consists of University at Buffalo alumni volunteers who work with the UB Alumni Association and key partners on campus to develop opportunities for connections among students and alumni in the UB communtiy.
